The Lord is My Buckler!

What an interesting couple weeks! I have been pastor of FBC for 4 months and this was our most difficult week so far. But in the midst of the turmoil the Lord has blessed. How Satan desires to destroy and wreck the work here in Everett! Yet in the midst of the turmoil the Lord was gracious and gave me a peace about the whole situation. Indeed, He is my shieldon every side!

I had been praying that the Lord would send a new family our way to show the people that God is going to bless our effort and He did just that this Sunday! A family stationed here at the Naval Station who are very similar to us in beliefs and standards came to both the morning and evening services. PRAISE THE LORD! They are praying about where the Lord would have them become members. I pray they are able to find the Lord's will and are able to be a blessing to whatever church they join...

We had an unexpected visit from our Pastor and Mrs. Bell. He was our pastor in Texas and "Pa-Pa" & "Na-Na" to our kids. It was a real encouragement to both Kristy and I. The timing was perfect as they were a huge blessing during this hard time. It did however make us a little homesick for our friends and church back in Texas...

Thanks for praying for us and until later...
