Sweet Fellowship!
We had extremely enjoyable Sunday! What made it so great was the tremendous time of fellowship the church had after the evening service. What an encouragement these folks are to this preacher!
We also had a another first time visitor for both the morning and evening services. The best part is that he is a co-worker of one of our members. This member has been pressing his friend to come for months now and he finally came - Praise the Lord.
I announced tonight we will be having "Vision Sunday" on January 7th. I plan on sharing my goals for this next year concerning the church. May God allow our people to be excited about the future. I believe many are getting stirred up to see our church grow.
BTW, Merry Christmas and may you share the true meaning of Christmas with your family and friends.
Another Great Sunday
Just a quick update for everyone reading this blog:
We have had a couple great Sundays here at FBC! We saw 2 new visitors out this morning for the service. They are both young men from the Naval station. They said they would be back again next week. The people are excited about what the Lord is doing. We have over half of our members going out weekly knocking doors in the neighborhood. It is a blessing to finally have some church members who are willing to go and reach our neighborhood. They are not just expecting the pastor to do all the outreach.
I spent some time this week planning out the church calendar for the new year. I am looking forward to our special outreach opportunities this next year. I will posting our yearly goals later as I finish refining them.
God has also blessed our churches finances, we are doing better than ever. I pray that we will be good stewards of the resources God has provided.
